Anyone in a downward spiral these past few days?
I received this request from an Ask Susan Member this week:
A topic I’m looking at these weeks… The difference between choosing not to die and truly choosing to live.
Maybe too big for just a Facebook Live this Sunday?
Not at all.
How often do we thwart ourselves by holding onto what is familiar, thereby distracting ourselves from greatness?
The truth is we do have choice:
So my question for you is:
What will you choose?
Growth or distraction?
It reminds me of a poem by one of my favorite authors:
The Risk to Bloom
And then the day came
When the risk to remain
Tight in a bud was
More painful that the risk to bloom.
– Anais Nin
What distractions are you using by looking at what you could be choosing?
Watch this related Ask Susan episode that examines what the difference is between choosing to not die and truly choosing to live. What happens when you ask that? It puts a huge filter on being totally present, causing us to distract ourselves by looking at the ‘risk’ here. We discuss this and more in this episode of Ask Susan where we talk about how the language that you are using is the distraction that you are choosing by saying creation is a risk.
