Are you up for a change reset? There’s a lot to be said for making a series of small changes to your life and taking your time.

But, what if you’re impatient, like my client, Rosalie?

Rosalie came to me with this struggle

My life is such a mess. I wish I could just walk away from everything and start again and yet there are some things in my life I actually love

How do I create the changes that will create that reset that I’m looking for without having to throw everything out?

Doing a hard reset on your cell phone erases everything and allows you to start over from scratch. You can do the same thing in your life.

A Big Change Reset can be in just one part of your life or can encompass several aspects of your life.

Is this something you’re struggling with?

Some examples of hard resets include:

  • Changing careers
  • Ending a relationship
  • Moving to a new city
  • Losing a dramatic amount of weight

As we worked together Rosalie soon discovered she had been asking for change all the while expecting changes to come into her life through wishing and hoping.

The first thing we did was to put together a plan of action for her to get the clarity and release she was asking for

What about you?

Have you been asking for clarity with the changes you’ve been longing for?

If you’re ready to make a big change quickly, follow this process of proven

strategies:

1. Have a vision for what you want to accomplish. A big change requires a big and clear target. What change do you want to make to your life?

  • Do you want to move to the beach?
  • Find someone that is a better match for you ?
  • Quit your job and go back to school?
  • Lose 75 pounds?
  • Run an ultramarathon?

2. Clear the junk out of your life. This includes possessions, people, and obligations that don’t add significantly to your life. People carry too much dead weight through life.

Change of any sort requires shifts to be made. You might have to cut-off your high school friend, quit watching Netflix as a distraction, or throw your ukulele in the trash.

3. Choose the most important actions to take.

We like to be busy. It feels like we’re doing something. But we don’t necessarily like to do the most effective tasks, because they’re uncomfortable or inconvenient. That mentality isn’t an option if you’re up for Big Changes. You have to be clear with yourself.

4. Plan tomorrow today.

Tap into what is required tomorrow. What will be your most effective actions, put it on a sticky note where you will see it and focus on that.

Go to sleep saying to yourself, “Tomorrow, I will know just what to do.”

Execute your plan as you fall into sleep.

5. Acknowledge what works and what does not work.

Be willing to let go of what doesn’t create greater for you. The Changes are in the resets, not the end product

Success isn’t a secret

With the willingness to change, a clear intention, and a lot of courage, Rosalie soon discovered it’s possible to make dramatic changes to her life very quickly without having to walk away from everything.

She now has a new delight in creating her life and looks forward to the ongoing changes that being true to her desires for herself creates

A Big Change reset isn’t for everyone. Many people would have better luck making small changes over the course of several years.

On the other hand, some people are capable of moving faster and willing to tap into their awareness of what works and what doesn’t work  .
