How to Go Beyond Coping and Create Healing

I thought this would be a good topic to talk about today….
considering all the loving contributions I’ve been given about how well I’m coping
since
my great adventures
in falling
three weeks ago

My injuries June 2019I started to think about the words cope and coping,
And here’s what I got…
Is coping a word?

Cope | Definition of Cope by Merriam-Webster
to face and deal with responsibilities, problems, or difficulties, esp. successfully or in a calm or adequate manner: After his breakdown, he couldn’t cope any longer. 

So what’s that about: adequate?
I do love the word calm although there’s no question there.

As I continued to Google
I found all kinds of coping mechanisms and strategies
which made me laugh…

Here’s a great example of being told how to twist yourself up into this reality –
Stress management techniques can fall into two categories: problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping.

So here’s what I know to be true…
You have to go beyond coping and ask yourself:
What’s right about this?
What do I know to be true?

Here’s what I got –
see if they work for you.

Your voice matters
Time Heals
Change heals
Choice heals
Magic heals

Being in the question heals
Contributing heals
Awareness heals
Your point of view about what else is possible heals
Your willingness to acknowledge that you matter heals
Gratitude for the unique way you be heals

Reaching through time and space heals
Pulling in the energies of what you are asking to create heals

You’ll never know how amazing you can be
