So, what stops you from having a fulfilling life? Well, what are you practicing this month? Is what you’re practicing holding you back?

For the month of June, we’ve been investigating Momentum on Congruent Living.

My question for you is:

What kind of momentum are you practicing with?

Are you practicing holding onto the stories that you have?

Or, are you practicing holding onto the feelings that you’ve decided you have to have, to inspire you or bring you down?

Anything that you’re decided on actually stops the momentum from creating greater.

What are you practicing that has become a habit?

We talk often about the habits that we have, where anything we practice becomes a habit.

If you were brought up in a certain way that has you negating the future, that has you deciding, before something’s even being created, what it’s going to look like, how it has to look and what it’s going to feel like.

And the reason I mentioned feeling is that it’s not about emotions as much as it is about: what is your body feeling? Is it contracted? When you have a thought, where does your body go? Are you in your body? Is your body in you? Is your body in that juicy, joyous sensation of: “oh, this could be good. I wonder what this could be like.” Or have you decided it has to feel a certain way?

Well, the thing is, if we make those decisions at a very young age of what this will feel like when I see this person, this will feel like this and your body contracts.

When I’m feeling lonely, I’ve got to go eat something. This gives me comfort. That’s what I was taught. When I was little, just eat something, whatever that is for you, whatever you use to block out these sensations that you’re aware of with the feelings that you’ve decided you have to have.

As a result, you see how that stops the momentum of anything greater. It stops that momentum of you living that juicy, joyous life that you’re asking for. I know for myself, when I buy anything is real and true. When I buy “oh, I’m feeling this way.”

However, if I don’t stop for a minute and ask myself what Susan is holding onto this sensation. Me loving me. Or, is it recreating something that I am comfortable with now?

It could be that what you’re comfortable with is really uncomfortable. If you’re holding on to anything and you’re making it significant, you’re giving it a form. You’re giving it a structure as well as something for your whole body and being to hold on to it.

The Momentum of Creating Greater

Moreover, this doesn’t create momentum. The momentum of creating greater and of “So I wonder what’s possible here for me?” This comes from “I’m going to indulge this sensation for a moment and then I’ll check in with it and see, is it still there holding onto this?”

Me loving me, or is it loving the habit that I’ve created that will already tell my body, “okay, you need to feel this way. You need to feel sad, feel hungry, feel lack.” 

It seems like it’s really going deep really quickly. So I love that about Congruent Living Laser Coaching. We just get right in there and go deep.
